MISSION STATEMENT<br />
To enrich <strong>Kettering</strong> <strong>University</strong>’s global heritage and enhance its international reputation by engaging the <strong>University</strong>’s<br />
entire faculty, student body, staff, trustees, alumni and friends in the pursuit of global understanding and international<br />
experiences.<br />
<strong>Kettering</strong> <strong>University</strong> Welcomes International Visitors<br />
• Full time, degree-seeking, undergraduate and graduate students<br />
• Short term (three months) undergraduate exchange students<br />
• Visiting professors and other university representatives<br />
• Corporate employer representatives<br />
• U.S. Government sponsored business associates from developing economies<br />
The International Office is the receptionist and facilitator for international students, professors, and other visitors who visit <strong>Kettering</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong> from throughout the world. It provides assistance with course availability, visas, immigration regulations, driver’s license,<br />
insurance, bank accounts, housing and other settlement concerns.<br />
Program Abroad<br />
The International Office organizes and facilitates academic and corporation related programs in other countries for students, faculty members<br />
and corporate partners. These include institutional collaborations, employer/institutional networking, consortia development, distance<br />
learning programs to developing economies and short-term Flint-based training for entrepreneurs in evolving economies.<br />
Language Instruction<br />
Non-credit conversational language courses are provided for <strong>Kettering</strong> students planning to go abroad for academic and/or work related<br />

Governmental Activities<br />
<strong>Kettering</strong> <strong>University</strong> plays a leadership role in community development, particularly in its own neighborhood as well as the Greater Flint<br />
Community. The <strong>University</strong> is deeply committed to the social, economic and political well being of its community. Students, faculty and<br />
staff take major participatory and leadership roles in scores of civic organizations and activities.
