Ratingen. Professional career training is an essential component for safeguarding the future of
your business. External training offers are becoming increasingly popular. Around 70% of
companies already take advantage of these qualification opportunities. It is mainly smaller
businesses whose staff are increasingly attending seminars by well-known manufacturers, as
these not only focus on product information, but also specialist training. In this context, Keramag’s
BäderForum initiative is exceptionally popular with professionals in the sanitary industry,
architects and planners. The seminars focus on providing practically oriented training in advice,
planning and local marketing and are highly praised by experts for their educational quality and
range of topics covered.
The seminars cover three main types of seminar: bathroom workshop, bathroom design and
bathroom marketing. The bathroom workshop series, which is a popular tried-and-tested concept
that has been in existence for many years, offers basic and trend seminars, as well as the training
session ‘Designing with light’. The specially developed model room makes presenting individual
bathroom landscapes and lifestyle worlds much easier. The comprehensive stocks of materials
enable various design options to be realised for various types of floors and walls. In addition, the
lighting modules available provide opportunities to practise skilful lighting design. All three
seminar types focus on one central topic: how to cater to the client’s taste as much as possible
while awakening a fascination with bathrooms and thereby achieving a high level of customer
satisfaction. One of the new seminars in this series, entitled ‘Successful company positioning’ has
been designed especially for business owners. This covers the individual development of
‘customised’ communication concepts which take into account company positioning and
orientation to the respective company location.
With the bathroom design seminar series, experienced presenters talk about principles of
freehand drawing and – for advanced participants – the creation of detailed plan drawings for the
customer’s chosen style.
The bathroom marketing package comprises various training modules for salespeople, expert
advisors, installers and business owners. Participants are shown the best way to improve sales
figures, the strengths of female managers, sales-oriented use of relationships, successful
telephone sales, approaching customers in the growth market of adults aged 50 and older and
skilful sales arguments. In addition, the manufacturer also provides interested professionals with
insights into ceramic production in the Wesel and Haldensleben factories.
Beate Vetter, head of brand communication at Keramag AG had the following to say about this
remarkable initiative: ‘Putting off training courses to save money is like stopping your watch to
save time. The consistent, practical orientation of all our seminars ensures the best possible
learning outcomes for all participants. This confirms the exceptionally good ratings we are given
by participants.’
