DVB-S/HDTV channel unit for installation into the
UFO ® compact (extension) module carriers UFG 3xx/4xx
To process the signals of a DVB-S transponder or
a HDTV transponder in CATV systems
Transmodulates a QPSK modulated DVB-S signal
or 8PSK modulated DVB-S2 signal into a COFDM
modulated output signal (programme fi ltering required
for adjustment to the max. output data rate)
Two inputs A/B, settable using the central control unit
(e.g. for H/V switching)
DiSEqC to control external DiSEqC multi-switches
(one can only use DiSEqC matrices with eight Sat-IF
inputs (two satellites))
All essential transmission parameters can be set using
the central control unit
COFDM
The output level can be set and switched off using the
control unit
Adjacent channel compatible
MPEG transport stream processor:
To set a constant output data rate (Stuffing) with
PCR correction
With programme fi lter to remove individual TV and
radio programmes (easy setting using the USW 30 and
UFX 314)
For NIT matching (cable NIT; UFX 314 additionally
required)
For CAT matching, e.g. to set the operator-ID
LCN-capable (if used together with UFX 314 and
USW 30)
COFDM modulator for modulation type 2k, mapping
QPSK, 16 QAM, 64 QAM
FPGA designed MPEG transport stream processor
and COFDM modulator
Software updates using control unit’s interface
Can be extended with the UFZ 394 Common Interface
retro-fi t set to add two CA modules
Required central control unit software version:
at least V 9.32
Ambient temperature range for operation in:
