Kaskaskia college registration

A student enrolling in a class automatically
assumes the responsibility of properly
dropping the class(es) when the student
decides not to attend or complete the
course. A refund of tuition and fees cannot
be made unless a student officially drops
the class in the Office of Admissions and
Registration. (Even if the student has not
paid their tuition and fees, they will be
charged for the class if they do not officially
drop it.) Refunds will be completed based
on the date that the written request to be
dropped from a class is received in the
Office of Admissions and Registration and
will be based on the following:
TUITION REFUND POLICY
Spring Semester
(16 week course)
During First Two Weeks of Semester 100%
After 2 nd Week of Semester 0%
After the second week of classes, there will
be no refund of tuition and fees. A first-time
student who is a Title IV financial aid
recipient and withdraws from all classes
may be subject to the federal refund policy.

For courses not conducted following the
regular calendar terms, the tuition refund
shall be computed on the fractional part of
the class time used before the classes are
dropped. For additional information, please
contact the Admissions and Registration
Office.
BOOKSTORE CHARGES
Bookstore charges must be paid at the time of
purchase unless a student has received written
confirmation that a third party payer will assume
responsibility for bookstore charges. Any charges not
covered by the third party payer are the responsibility
of the student.
The Bookstore accepts cash, checks, and credit
cards. Credit cards accepted include MasterCard,
VISA, and Discover.
Bookstore hours vary and will be posted on the
Kaskaskia College website at www.kaskaskia.edu/
bookstore. The Bookstore hours are extended at the
beginning of each semester for a number of weeks
to accommodate students’ needs during rush periods.
The Kaskaskia College Bookstore maintains a list of
textbooks by semester for classes being offered. The
list includes the International Standard Book Number
(ISBN), author, title, copyright date, retail price “new”
and retail price “used”, and if the textbook is required
or optional. In the event that textbook is not available
for a specific class, the information will be listed as
“To Be Determined”. The textbook list can be viewed
by students at the following URL:

Book Buy-Back: At the end of each semester, the
Bookstore will conduct a textbook buyback. The
buyback will take place inside the Bookstore. Dates
and times for textbook buyback will be posted at the
end of each semester at: www.kaskaskia.edu/
bookstore.
Textbook Rental: Textbook rental is currently
being offered for the following classes: English 101,
English 102, and Speech 103. In the near future, the
Bookstore plans to expand the number of textbook
rental titles being offered to help reduce costs for
the students.
Special arrangements can be made to purchase
items outside of the normal business hours if needed
by calling the Bookstore at 618-545-3090. If additional
assistance is needed, students are encouraged
to contact the Bookstore Manager at 618-545-
3091.
