ENROLLMENT POLICIES
WITHDRAWAL
1. The class drop and withdrawal deadlines for
each semester can be found on the Registration
Calendar or by contacting the Admissions and
Registration Office at 618-545-3040. “Further
information regarding dropping and withdrawing
from a class can be found in the KC Catalog and
in the KC Student Handbook.
2. Students should contact the Admissions and
Registration Office on the main campus at
618-545-3040 or any KC Education Center to
drop or withdraw from a class. It is highly
recommended that students consult with their
instructor and an advisor prior to withdrawing
from a class. Failure to properly drop or
withdraw from a class may result in a failing
grade. All withdrawal requests must be filed
prior to completion of 87% of the individual
course. For example, the withdrawal deadline
for a course in the standard fall or spring 16
week semester is two weeks prior to the end of
the semester. Check with the Admissions and
Registration Office regarding deadline dates for
specific courses.
3. Students may be withdrawn from class by
the Vice President of Student Services as a
consequence of administrative action due to
conduct, attendance, or other justifiable
reasons as recommended by the instructor.
4. Students are financially responsible for classes
from which they withdraw.
5. Students will receive a grade of “W” for classes
from which they withdraw.
including attendance. Registration for audit
must be accomplished during the specified time
of registration for a given semester. The student
MAY NOT change from credit to audit after the
tenth day (or equivalent) of a semester.
EMPLOYEE IN-DISTRICT
Students who are employed in the district
full-time but live outside the district may qualify
for in-district tuition rates by completing the
appropriate “Proof of In-District Employment”
form.
take examinations. The student does not
receive a grade or credit for the course, but the
