REGISTRATION INFORMATION
NEW STUDENT AND RETURNING STUDENT ENROLLMENT PROCESS
1. Apply for Admissions
All new students, including dual credit students, and
students who have been inactive for one year or
more should complete the Student Admissions Form.
The form is available online at apps.Kaskaskia.edu
or at Education Centers and at the Welcome Center
on the main campus. Kaskaskia College maintains
an open-door admissions policy that provides
access to higher education for those individuals who
can benefit from its comprehensive programs and
there is no application fee. New students will need to
provide a final high school transcript or GED score
report, and transcripts from all other colleges and/or
universities attended to:

2. Apply for Financial Aid
Both prospective and returning students may go to
www.kaskaskia.edu/FinancialAid for eligibility requirements
and information on grants, scholarships,
student loans, work-study, and veteran’s benefits. In
order to provide sufficient financial aid processing
time, students are encouraged to submit their Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information
at least three months prior to the semester
they plan to begin attending KC. Additional FAFSA
application information is available at
www.fafsa.ed.gov
3. Testing and Assessment (ACT & COMPASS)
All students are required to submit placement test
scores prior to enrolling in an English or math
course. The accepted placement scores are the ACT
or the COMPASS test. If a student has taken the
ACT while in high school, the scores should be available
on the high school transcripts. Students that do
not have ACT scores can make an appointment to
take the COMPASS Test by calling the Success
Center on the main campus at 618.545.3160.
COMPASS tests are given Monday thru
Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. &
Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
4. Academic Advising
Academic advisors are available to discuss test
placement scores, to develop education plans, and
ensure courses taken are based on degree/
certificate requirements. Students will receive a list of
courses suggested for degree/certificate completion.

5. Registration
A registration period is scheduled prior to each
semester. Specific dates of registration are included
in the schedule of classes printed each enrollment
period and on the KC website. After advisement,
continuing students can register online at
campusnet.kaskaskia.edu/students or you can visit
our enrollment center at the Main campus located in
Centralia or one of our region education centers:
Greenville Education Center, Nashville Education
Center, Salem Education Center, Trenton Education
Center, Vandalia Education Center, Harry L. Crisp
Technology Center, and East St. Louis Community
College Center during scheduled registration
periods. Addresses and hours of operation can be
found on the Kaskaskia College website.
6. Make Tuition Payment
Payments can be made in person at the main campus
or at any of our education centers. KC accepts
debit/credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and
American Express), personal checks and money orders.
However, cash payments are accepted only
at the main campus location. Checks or money orders
may be mailed to the main campus. Payments
are also accepted via on-line by credit card at
http://campusnet.kaskaskia.edu.
Payment plans are available for those unable to pay
in full at the time of registration by going to
campusnet and clicking on the financial information
tab. Then click Nelnet payment plan option.
