ADMISSIONS POLICY<br />

<strong>Kaskaskia</strong> College maintains an open door admissions policy that provides access<br />

to higher education for those individuals who can benefit from its comprehensive<br />

programs. Admission to the College does not ensure entrance to a particular course<br />

or program of study. If space is not available to accommodate all persons, the<br />

College reserves the right to establish selective admission procedures and<br />

requirements. Certain programs have special admission entrance requirements,<br />

which must be met prior to being accepted into the program.<br />

3. Dental Assisting 11. Paramedicine<br />

4. Diagnostic Medical Sonography 12. Physical Therapist Assistant<br />

5. Health Information Technology 13. Radiologic Technology<br />

6. Licensed Practical Nursing 14. Respiratory Therapy<br />

7. Massage Therapy 15. Surgical Technology<br />

8. Medical Laboratory Technology 16. Veterinary Technician<br />

The Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) is a statewide transfer program that<br />

includes 109 Illinois <strong>college</strong>s and universities, both public and private. For<br />

<strong>Kaskaskia</strong> College students completing an approved set of course work,<br />

IAI assures the transferability of classes.<br />

YOU can make sure your transfer<br />

experiences are positive if you:<br />

work closely with a <strong>Kaskaskia</strong> College Academic Advisor;<br />

complete the Associate Degree (A.A. or A.S.) or the IAI<br />

General Education Core prior to transfer; and<br />

consult the IAI web site at www.iTransfer.org.<br />
