6 <strong>Guide</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>Using</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Standards</strong> on Auditing in the Audits of Small- and Medium-Sized Entities Volume 1—Core Concepts Request for Comments This is the second edition of the <strong>Guide</strong>. While we consider this <strong>Guide</strong> <strong>to</strong> be useful and of high quality, it can be improved. We are committed <strong>to</strong> updating this <strong>Guide</strong> on a regular basis so as <strong>to</strong> ensure that it reflects current standards and is as useful as possible. We welcome comments from national standard setters, IFAC member bodies, practitioners, and others. These comments will be used <strong>to</strong> assess the <strong>Guide</strong>’s usefulness and <strong>to</strong> improve it prior <strong>to</strong> publishing the third edition. In particular, we welcome views on the following questions. 1. How do you use the <strong>Guide</strong>? For example, do you use it as a basis for training and/or as a practical reference guide, or in some other way? 2. Do you consider the <strong>Guide</strong> <strong>to</strong> be sufficiently tailored <strong>to</strong> the audit of SMEs? 3. Do you find the <strong>Guide</strong> easy <strong>to</strong> navigate? If not, can you suggest how navigation can be improved? 4. In what other ways do you think the <strong>Guide</strong> can be made more useful? 5. Are you aware of any derivative products—such as training materials, forms, checklists, and programs— that have been developed based on the <strong>Guide</strong>? If so, please provide details.
