550.14 The audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r shall <strong>in</strong>quire of management and others with<strong>in</strong> the entity, and perform other risk<br />
assessment procedures c<strong>on</strong>sidered appropriate, <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> obta<strong>in</strong> an understand<strong>in</strong>g of the c<strong>on</strong>trols, if<br />
any, that management has established <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>: (Ref: Para. A15-A20)<br />
(a) Identify, account for, and disclose related-party relati<strong>on</strong>ships and transacti<strong>on</strong>s <strong>in</strong> accordance<br />
with the applicable f<strong>in</strong>ancial report<strong>in</strong>g framework;<br />
(b) Authorize and approve significant transacti<strong>on</strong>s and arrangements with related parties; and<br />

550.15 Dur<strong>in</strong>g the audit, the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r shall rema<strong>in</strong> alert, when <strong>in</strong>spect<strong>in</strong>g records or documents,<br />
for arrangements or other <strong>in</strong>formati<strong>on</strong> that may <strong>in</strong>dicate the existence of related-party<br />
relati<strong>on</strong>ships or transacti<strong>on</strong>s that management has not previously identified or disclosed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> the<br />
audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r. (Ref: Para. A22-A23)<br />
In particular, the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r shall <strong>in</strong>spect the follow<strong>in</strong>g for <strong>in</strong>dicati<strong>on</strong>s of the existence of relatedparty<br />
relati<strong>on</strong>ships or transacti<strong>on</strong>s that management has not previously identified or disclosed<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r:<br />
(a) Bank and legal c<strong>on</strong>firmati<strong>on</strong>s obta<strong>in</strong>ed as part of the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r’s procedures;<br />
(b) M<strong>in</strong>utes of meet<strong>in</strong>gs of shareholders and of those charged with governance; and<br />
(c) Such other records or documents as the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r c<strong>on</strong>siders necessary <strong>in</strong> the circumstances<br />
of the entity.<br />
550.16 If the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r identifies significant transacti<strong>on</strong>s outside the entity’s normal course of bus<strong>in</strong>ess<br />
when perform<strong>in</strong>g the audit procedures required by paragraph 15 or through other audit<br />
procedures, the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r shall <strong>in</strong>quire of management about: (Ref: Para. A24-A25)<br />
(a) The nature of these transacti<strong>on</strong>s; and (Ref: Para. A26)<br />
(b) Whether related parties could be <strong>in</strong>volved. (Ref: Para. A27)<br />
550.17 The audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r shall share relevant <strong>in</strong>formati<strong>on</strong> obta<strong>in</strong>ed about the entity’s related parties with<br />
the other members of the engagement team. (Ref: Para. A28)<br />
550.18 In meet<strong>in</strong>g the ISA 315 requirement <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> identify and assess the risks of material misstatement,<br />
the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r shall identify and assess the risks of material misstatement associated with relatedparty<br />
relati<strong>on</strong>ships and transacti<strong>on</strong>s and determ<strong>in</strong>e whether any of those risks are significant<br />
risks. In mak<strong>in</strong>g this determ<strong>in</strong>ati<strong>on</strong>, the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r shall treat identified significant related-party<br />
transacti<strong>on</strong>s outside the entity’s normal course of bus<strong>in</strong>ess as giv<strong>in</strong>g rise <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> significant risks.<br />
550.19 If the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r identifies fraud risk fac<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>rs (<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g circumstances relat<strong>in</strong>g <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> the existence of a<br />
related-party with dom<strong>in</strong>ant <strong>in</strong>fluence) when perform<strong>in</strong>g the risk assessment procedures and<br />
related activities <strong>in</strong> c<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong> with related parties, the audi<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>r shall c<strong>on</strong>sider such <strong>in</strong>formati<strong>on</strong><br />
when identify<strong>in</strong>g and assess<strong>in</strong>g the risks of material misstatement due <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> fraud <strong>in</strong> accordance<br />
