Legacy Project What Potash Price is required as a Minimum for the Profitability of the Legacy Project? • We generally want to earn a premium of 15% on the cost of capital of K+S Group. • The Legacy project will achieve this target! Basis for the calculation of profitability are: - Capex (Phases 1 + 2): CAD 4.1 billion - Gas price (Henry Hub Natural Gas Price): CAD 4.00/MMBtu - Average freight rates: ~ CAD 65/tonne Even if gas prices would change by ± 50% or average freight rates by ± 30%, we would still earn the targeted premium on our costs of capital at a price of USD 420 or 460/tonne MOP gran. including freight, respectively. Legacy Project Project Progress • Further infrastructure measures in the areas of water supply, electricity and road construction, as well as the completion of first drilling activities, were undertaken in 2012. • About 130 employees from different countries are currently working at K+S Potash Canada GP on the construction of the new site. By 2023, more than 300 jobs should be created. • In 2012, we spent an investment volume of € 143 million, which was used for infrastructure measures and water supply, as well as engineering work and drilling. • In 2013, the investment level should reach CAD 500 million* and be used for drilling and the start of the factory’s construction.
