E) Installation instructions<br />
Removing the wheel bearing assembly<br />
Lever out the retaining ring using a screwdriver.<br />
Place a drift against the joint<br />
of the two wheel bearings<br />
<strong>and</strong> drive the bearing inner<br />
races out of the wheel hub<br />
together with the seal rings.<br />
Drive the bearing outer races<br />
out of the hub housing using<br />
a normal workshop drift.<br />
Thoroughly clean the hub<br />
housing.<br />
Installing the wheel bearing assembly<br />
Drive both bearing outer races into the hub housing until they<br />
bottom.<br />
Use installation tool, SAF Part No. 3 434 1043 00.<br />
Pack the space between the bearing outer race <strong>and</strong> shoulder with<br />
long-life grease.<br />
Coat the taper roller bearing with the remaining grease.<br />
Distribute the grease supplied in the repair kit uniformly over both<br />
bearings <strong>and</strong> use up completely.<br />
