DESCRIPTION: l-story, flat roof, wood frame construction,.fixed windows,
dropped metal awning. wood piling foundation.
SIGNIFICANCE: Originally a saloon and parlor house constructed during the
Klondike Gold Rush. The building is situated in Juneau's old red light
district. and Juneau's Downtown Historic District. The structure has housed
various saloons since construction.

DESCRIPTION: Flat roof, rectangular. wood frame bUilding with drop wood
siding; low rising front parapet; decorative cornices. double-hung windows;
tongue-and-groove siding.
SIGNIFICANCE: One of the first buildings to be constructed on the mine
tailings from the AJ mine that formed the extension of S. Franklin. It was a
house of ill-repute during early days and later served as a gambling and card
game parlor. The structure was converted to a triplex .in the 1960 ls and
remodeled into a commercial structure in 1984 by Northway Builders.
