The development of main <strong>headlamps</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>trucks</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>buses</strong> has<br />
experienced an extreme change over the course of the last<br />
decade. The simple round reflectors with glass lenses <strong>and</strong> Bilux<br />
bulbs became the halogen lamps that are used nowadays.<br />
<strong>Main</strong> <strong>headlamps</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>trucks</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>buses</strong><br />
DIESEL TECHNIC offers all st<strong>and</strong>ard main <strong>headlamps</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>trucks</strong><br />
<strong>and</strong> <strong>buses</strong> applicable <strong>for</strong> the br<strong>and</strong>s DAF, MAN, Mercedes-Benz,<br />
Renault Trucks, Scania <strong>and</strong> Volvo.<br />
In addition, Diesel Technic offers individual parts such as lamp<br />
lenses, reflectors, adjustment screws, bulbs, retainers <strong>and</strong><br />
seals as well as a variety of other lamps such as rear lights,<br />
indicators, side-markers <strong>and</strong> interior lights together with fog <strong>and</strong><br />
high beam lights.<br />
<strong>Main</strong> <strong>headlamps</strong> belong to the design elements on a vehicle<br />
which fulfil a variety of functions such as the indicator, fog, high<br />
beam, driving or daytime driving light.<br />
Xenon <strong>headlamps</strong> are equipped with gas discharge lamps<br />
<strong>and</strong> diffuser lenses <strong>and</strong> allow optimum illumination of the road<br />
without endangering the on<strong>com</strong>ing traffic with glare.
DT ® br<strong>and</strong> main <strong>headlamps</strong> are characterised<br />

1 DT ® reflectors are produced from BMC, among other<br />
materials. BMC is a <strong>com</strong>pound of plastic powder, filler<br />
<strong>and</strong> glass powder. This material is distinguished by the<br />
following advantages: high thermal resistance, permanent<br />
reaction capacity <strong>and</strong> the solid construction.<br />
2 DT ® reflector covers are produced from polycarbonate <strong>and</strong><br />
have a very high surface quality (mirroring) <strong>and</strong> tempera-<br />
ture resistance.<br />
3 The DT ® projection lenses (a) are made of high-quality<br />
glass with the respective finish. The retainer <strong>for</strong> this lens<br />
(b) is made of aluminium <strong>and</strong> convinces, with the highest<br />
temperature resistance <strong>and</strong> stability, in contrast to cheaper<br />
plastics that are frequently used.<br />
4 DT ® <strong>headlamps</strong> have a glass cover made of high-quality<br />
borosilicate glass. This material is characterised by high<br />
temperature resistance <strong>and</strong> resistance to sudden tempera-<br />
ture fluctuations.<br />
5 The DT ® headlamp housing is primarily made of poly-<br />
propylene <strong>and</strong> guarantees high stability <strong>and</strong> strength<br />
against vibrations <strong>and</strong> impacts. The breaking resistance<br />
is also very high.<br />
6 All DT ® br<strong>and</strong> main <strong>headlamps</strong> fulfil the technical <strong>and</strong><br />
legal specifications of the EU member states. Each type of<br />
headlamp has been tested <strong>and</strong> authorised correspondingly<br />
<strong>for</strong> <strong>com</strong>pliance with the specifications such as glare effect,<br />
minimum brightness <strong>and</strong> light geometrics. The EU authori-<br />
sations are identified by the E-mark (country in which the<br />
<strong>headlamps</strong> have been authorised <strong>and</strong> tested).
