Maintenance Instructions
1.2 RECOMMENDED CONTROL ROUTINES
• Check all central units and field units for damage or other irregularities that can cause
damage to the system.
• Operation control.
This control must be carried out on all access units.
Use the microphone and check that access is possible from all the access units.
The Operating instruction doc no. 96106-000-OI can be used as a guide during the test.
Check that audio is clear and that the loudspeaker coverage is OK.
Verify that muting is OK for each access unit local loudspeaker when PA message.
Check access in correct zones.
• Override outputs
Check that override function is OK on all volume control units.
Write down every irregularity in the log book.
1.3 FAULT FINDING
1.3.1 Fuses
Replace a blown fuse with a new one of the same value. If the second fuse blows, locate and
correct the fault.
Make sure that you always have a good supply of fuses.
1.3.2 Contacts
A high percentage of failures are caused by faulty cable connections, plugs, sockets etc.
Such details are checked very carefully during installation, but it is difficult to guard fully
against vibration, corrosion and dust.
You are therefore advised to make an occasional thorough check on all plugs, sockets, terminal
boards, switches and relays.
1.3.3 Equipment/loudspeakers
Keep all equipment clean - outside and inside. Keeping the main switch off, remove cover plates
and clean all parts carefully - using a soft brush. Be careful not to damage components. Keep all
ground connections tight and clean.
