Teams
Teamwork and sportsmanship are the qualities that exemplify
a basketball team. With basketball season under way, the
Badger Middle School eight grade and seventh grade teams
characterize these attributes. Both teams’ seasons began on
December 9th against Bristol. The other NAC opponents are:
Mathews, Ledgemont, Pymatuning Valley, Grand Valley,
Chalker, Lordstown, Maplewood, Brookfield, Conneaut, Bloomfield
and Maplewood. Their final game will be on February 7
with tournaments commencing the following week.
Eight grade team members are: Chris Bicehouse, Joe
Gorospe, Hunter Hall, Clay Miller, Daniel Shuttleworth, Bryson
Stemock, Christian Swartz, Chris Yeager and Zachary Ziobert.
Members of the seventh grade team are: Justin Croft, Kolan Elser,
Robbie Helmick, Davis Hunkus, Garrett Kellogg, Travis
Metz, Joey Mott, Owen Reeher, Daniel Roscoe, Joey Sneizik and
Dominic Welch. Mr. Steve Kochemba is the coach of our eighth
grade team and Mr. Josh Yoder is the seventh grade coach.
Good luck to our teams for the remainder of the season
and as they compete in the tournament!
BMS CHEERLEADERS
You got the spirit? Let’s hear it! The Badger Middle School cheerleaders bring out the
spirit in the fans at the basketball games. Their sideline cheers remind the basketball players
that they have the support of the cheerleading squad. The girls put in many hours of
practice to learn floor and sideline cheers. Tryouts are
held in the spring and practices begin in the summer.
All of the girls are involved in fundraising for the squad
to cover the expenses of their uniforms, shoes and
poms. Being a member of the cheerleaders takes dedication
and endurance to balance the time spent on practicing,
attending games and keeping up their
grades in school. Members of this year’s
squad are: Logan Caracci, Annie DelGarbino,
Lexi Hutz, Victoria Mathia and Kaitlyn Verina.
Thanks for all of your hard work and KEEP UP
THE SPIRIT!
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL TEAMS
Coaches for the eighth and seventh grade girls’ basketball teams have emphasized and instilled “esprit de
corps” in the their players. Eighth grade coach Mrs. Nikki Mott and Ms. Jordan Moy, seventh grade coach, have
stressed the importance of teamwork in practice and games. The results are quite impressive as you watch both
teams compete during the season.
Eighth grade teams members are: Izabella Armstrong, Allison Cauffield, Cheyanne Dickson, Samantha Greathouse,
Taylor Kramar, Harlee Logan, Holly Masters and Sabrina Snell. The seventh grade team consists of: Kayla
Agnew, Lindsey Barto, Michaela Best, Katelyn Bevilacqua, Khilan Cottrell, Stacey Elser and Jaimee Flowers.
The girls’ season began on December 1 when they played against Brookfield. Their other opponents are: Maplewood,
Grand Valley, Pymatuning Valley, Ledgemont, Mathews, Bristol, Chalker, Lordstown, Bloomfield and Conneaut.
The last game will be played on January 28 against Mathews. The tournament will begin in February. Good Luck,
