Gilson’s qualified technicians are available to visit your<br />

facility for any of the following:<br />

• Diagnosis: Check that your Gilson pipettes function<br />

correctly and are mechanically sound.<br />

• Repairs: Replacement of genuine spare parts.<br />

• Upgrade of Pipetman: Systematic replacement of key<br />

components with upgraded parts.<br />

• Pipette Clinics: Servicing of all Gilson pipettes. Servicing<br />

may include cleaning, decontamination, repair,<br />

(adjustment if needed) and calibration.<br />

The “Center of Excellence”<br />

label<br />

With a clear focus on developing the quality of service to<br />

the Gilson pipette users, the company launched the “Center<br />

of Excellence” audit campaign in 2005. The “Center of<br />

Excellence” label rewards the centers that fully fulfill<br />

all Gilson’s requirements. While no detail is overlooked,<br />

the main objective of the audits is to accompany the entire<br />

Gilson network towards excellence of their service. Audits<br />

provide guidance to support the implementation of the<br />

necessary means to achieve excellence.<br />

The Center of Excellence Certificate and the use of the<br />

numbered label ensure the highest quality of Gilson service<br />

and guarantee that the Service Center performs repairs and<br />

calibration according to Gilson’s requirements:<br />

1. Undergo regular Gilson audits on technical aspects,<br />

personnel skills, service quality and service offers.<br />

2. Follow regular training.<br />

3. Repair and calibrate in accordance with Gilson’s servicing<br />

procedures or procedures validated by Gilson.<br />

4. Repair the entire Gilson pipette range.<br />

5. Repair Gilson pipettes with genuine spare parts.<br />

6. Monitor environmental conditions.<br />

7. Use correct balances (including 6-digit balance to<br />

calibrate volumes < 20 µl).<br />

8. Maintain a comprehensive Service offer that includes:<br />

a. Diagnosis, repairs, and calibration by gravimetric<br />

method (ISO 8655 Standard).<br />

b. Maintenance.<br />

c. On-site pipette service.<br />

9. Comply with local standards and regulations.<br />

10. Refuse sales of Gilson spare parts to unauthorized<br />

companies.<br />

Companies that have successfully completed the Gilson’s<br />

recommendation program may use the Center of Excellence<br />

label as a graphic symbol to let clients know they have<br />

demonstrated the expertise<br />

required to diagnose, repair and<br />

calibrate.<br />
