We performed an evaluation of different filter<br />
tip brands over a complete aerosol size range<br />
of 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 1μm and found that<br />
these particles behave as the theory of filtration<br />
would predict. By further comparison of the<br />
results, we also concluded that although these<br />
filter tips are considered of the highest quality<br />
available on the market, they behave in a<br />
different manner. For example, for 1 μm<br />
particle, filter B has an efficiency of 81% as<br />
opposed to 98% for Gilson Diamond tip.<br />
