IS THERE A CHARGE FOR THESE
SERVICES?
Kansas Legal Services for Older Adults does not
bill clients for the services provided.
Contributions are encouraged, and gratefully
appreciated. We use contributions to maintain
and expand the legal service program so that
legal assistance will continue to be available for
Johnson County senior citizens.
WHO WILL BE WORKING WITH
YOU?
The staff of Kansas Legal Services is chosen and
trained to work with the problems of Senior
Citizens.
Legal services provided through Title III-B
funds are funded by the Kansas Department
on Aging and the Johnson County Area
Agency on Aging.

WHO ARE WE?
Kansas Legal Services for Older Adults is a
project of Kansas Legal Services, Inc., a private,
non-profit Kansas corporation. The National
Legal Services Corporation, the Older Americans
Act, the Kansas Department of Aging and private
contributions provide the project’s funding.
Kansas Legal Services for Older Adults is a
Johnson County Area Agency on Aging service
provider.
WHOM DO WE SERVE?
To be eligible for our services, a client must live
in Johnson County, Kansas, and be age 60 or
older.
Kansas Legal Services does not discriminate on

We represent clients in civil cases only. We do
not represent persons charged with criminal or
traffic cases, nor do we represent persons in feegenerating
or contingency fee cases.

We encourage you to talk to us regardless of the
kind of problem you have. Due to limited
resources and prioritization of need, Kansas
Legal Services for Older Adults is not able to
offer assistance in every type of case.
