online at www.canon.co.uk/wintercashback and upload a copy
of your till receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases, on
purchases between Thursday 18th October 2012 and Thursday
24th January 2013 inclusive.
2) Complete this form in BLOCK CAPITALS and post it back to

2DL, with a photocopy of your till receipt, or order confirmation for

point 2 above.

Canon (UK) Winter 2012 Cashback promotion Terms &
Conditions
1. PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS, PROMOTIONAL PERIOD AND
PARTICIPANTS
1.1 This promotion is only available on purchases made on any of the
products listed in any colour (the “Promotional Products”) within the United
Kingdom (“UK”) & Republic of Ireland (“ROI”) from a UK or ROI retailer
between Thursday 18th October 2012 and Thursday 24th January 2013
inclusive (the “Promotional Period”). Promotional Products can be sold as a
camera body only or part of a lens kit or bundle.
1.2 All Participants must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in the UK &
ROI (“Participant”).
1.3 All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms
and conditions.
1.4 All products must be purchased within the UK or ROI from a UK or ROI
retailer and must have been supplied and distributed to retailers by Canon
UK Ltd or Canon group companies located in the European Economic
Area. Please check with your retailer that this is the case to help avoid
disappointment.
1.5 All products must be new and genuine Canon products. Purchases of
second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are
counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of
companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or
“grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion. Products purchased
from ebay, whether listed as new or otherwise, will not be eligible for this
promotion.
2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1. To enter the promotion, the Participant must purchase a Promotional
Product(s) within the UK or ROI from a UK or ROI retailer during the
Promotional Period AND submit a claim in accordance with clause 2.2 below.
2.2. To claim the Canon (UK) Winter 2012 Cashback, Participants must
submit a valid claim between Thursday 18th October 2012 and midnight on
Thursday 28th February 2013 by:
2.2.1. fully and correctly completing (including specifying a valid EEA product
serial number(s)) either:
(i) a claim form available from retailers;
or
(ii) a claim form which can be completed online by visiting
www.canon.co.uk/wintercashback or
www.canon.ie/wintercashback
(iii) a claim form which can be obtained by contacting Canon’s claims
handling agency by using the contact details specified in clause 2.2.2 below.
2.2.2. The Participant must then send the completed claim form by post,
together with a copy of the receipt or printed order confirmation for internet
purchases to the following address: Canon UK Winter 2012 Cashback, 1st
Floor , 277-281 Oxford Street, London, W1C 2DL. Copy receipts will not be
returned. Alternatively, Participants can register online and scan, upload and
attach a copy of their receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases, to
the online claim form. Please refer to the online claim form for tips on how to
complete this process. Illegible or damaged receipts will not be accepted.
2.3 The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last.
Products will be sold by retailers strictly on a first come first served basis.
The Promoter will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of
Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.
2.4. Canon will not process any claims received after the closing date for
receipt of claims of midnight on Thursday 28th February 2013. Canon will not
process claims which are incomplete or illegible, and accepts no responsibility
for claims lost, delayed or damaged in the post.
2.5. Upon receipt and verification of the claim, Canon will issue a cheque
made payable to the name supplied on the claim form as the Participant and
will post the cheque, for the attention of the Participant and to the address
specified on the claim form; or for those who have opted in and registered
on-line, arrange for a direct BACS transfer payment to the Participant’s bank
account.
2.6. Canon will endeavour to issue a cheque or transfer via BACS within 28
days of receipt of a valid claim.
2.7 Where a Participant fails to select one of the currencies offered on the
claim form, one may be allocated at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.
2.8. Only one claim per product purchased may be made. However there
is a Bonus £25/€30 Cashback payment for a Participant who purchases 2
Promotional Products in the same transaction.
2.9. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
2.10. Claims by companies, businesses or individuals who make bulk
purchases (i.e more than 10 products) will not be eligible to enter this
Promotion.
2.11. This promotion cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other
promotion by the Promoter.
3. CASHBACK AND ADDITIONAL
£25/€30 CASHBACK BONUS
3.1. Participants will receive Cashback in the amounts shown for purchases
of Promotional Products. However, if Participants purchase 2 Promotional
Products on the same day from the same retailer in the same transaction, they
will receive an additional £25/€30 cashback bonus payment on top of the
cashback amounts for each of the 2 Promotional Products. So, for example,
if a Participant purchases a Compact Camera PowerShot SX50 HS £50/€60
and a PIXMA Inkjet MG5450 £30/€35 in the same transaction, they could
be eligible to receive £50/€60 plus £30/€35 = £80/€95 plus £25/€30
cashback bonus = £105/€125.
3.2. The Cashback will be sent to the person named as Participant in the
form of a cheque or BACS transfer payment in the selected currency and no
alternative arrangement will be entered into. No cash will be provided.
3.3. It is the Participants responsibility to cash the cheque whilst it is still valid.
Only one cheque, or BACS payment, will be issued per valid claim.
3.4 It is the responsibility of the Participant to pay any administration charges
levied by Banks in the Republic of Ireland when cashing UK cheques.
4. THE PROMOTER
4.1. The Promoter is Canon (UK) Ltd. of Woodhatch, Reigate, Surrey, RH2
8BF. Claims must NOT be sent to this address, but to the Promoter’s claims
handling agency at the address specified in 2.2.2.
5. DISCLAIMERS
5.1. Canon (UK) Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any
nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion.
However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting
Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence
of Canon’s employees or agents.
5.2. Canon (UK) Ltd shall not be liable for any failure to fulfill this offer where
such failure is caused by any supervening circumstances amounting to force
majeure being an event(s) which, without the fault of either party, render
performance impossible or incapable of satisfactory execution.
5.3. Canon reserves the right to void, amend, and/or change this promotion at
any time and change the conditions without incurring any liability whatsoever.
6. DATA
6.1. Where applicable any data captured during the course of the promotion
will be collated, accessed, processed and stored wholly in accordance with
applicable local Data Protection Laws and Regulations.
6.2. If Participants do not wish for their contact information to be used for
marketing purposes or to enable Canon to contact them in future regarding
similar promotions, they should NOT check the relevant “opt-in” box when
completing the claim form.
7. LAW AND JURISDICTION
7.1. These terms and conditions and any disputes arising out of or in
connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with
the laws of England and will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the
English courts.
