College and Career Readiness (March 8)
1. What does the data tell us?
All students are receiving interventions in Reading and English benchmark skills.
Almost 75% of students are receiving interventions in Math.
2. What does the data not tell us?
Additional students have enrolled in the senior class since October. The growth of college ready percentage looks smaller due to this factor.
Several students did not take the ACT due to transferring from other schools.
3. What are the causes for celebration?
The number of students meeting Math and Reading benchmarks is steadily increasing
The percentage of students meeting Reading benchmarks has reached the goal.
Students who receive interventions have higher COMPASS scores
4. What are the Opportunities for Improvement?
All students who have not met benchmark should receive Math interventions
Consider full year Math for students who have not met benchmark.
5. What are our next steps?
Schedule COMPASS testing for all seniors who have not taken a test
Continue Friday and Wednesday intervention sessions for students who are close to benchmark
Rotate students through Math interventions during the last trimester.
Consider COMPASS testing class of 2014 students who score close to benchmark on this year’s ACT.
