BARRACUDA RACING WHEELS
AT THE CIRCUITO DE NAVARRA IN SPAIN
Eine brennende Sonne über dem Circuito de Navarra
in Spanien, während 23 Rennteams der Blancpain Lamborghini
Endurance einem hochexplosiven Rennwochenende
entgegen blicken. Der Geruch von Benzin ist
ebenso allgegenwärtig, wie der von abgeriebenem
Gummi. Durch die Boxengasse dringt das Geräusch der
Schlagschrauber. Räder werden gewechselt und die
Fahrwerke final abgestimmt. Der Sound der V10-Zylinder
lässt sich nicht ignorieren und die aufgestellten Nackenhaare
bestätigen dies immer wieder. Ein Gefühl
macht sich breit, vielmehr sogar ein tiefes Verlangen,
dem Man(n) sich nicht entziehen kann: die Obsession
von Geschwindigkeit, erzeugt durch die Anspannung der
Fahrer, das Adrenalin und den Sound der Rennfahrzeuge.
DAS RENNEN KANN BEGINNEN
The sun burns over the Circuito de Navarra in Spain,
as 23 Blancpain Lamborghini Endurance race teams
look forward to a highly explosive race weekend. The
smell of fuel is just as ubiquitous as the smell of burning
rubber. The sound of the impact wrenches pervades the
pit stop. Wheels are changed and final adjustments are
made to the chassis. The sound of the V10 cylinders cannot
be ignored; it makes the hairs on the back of your
neck stand on end. A feeling grows, or rather an intense
thirst, from which you cannot escape: The need for
speed, generated by the drivers' tension, adrenalin and
the sound of the racing cars.
LET THE RACE BEGIN
C'est sous un soleil de plomb sur le Circuit de Navarre
en Espagne que 23 équipes du championnat Blancpain
Lamborghini Endurance se préparent à un week-end de
course très explosif. L'odeur de l'essence est omniprésente,
tout comme celle du caoutchouc brûlé. Le bruit
des boulonneuses à chocs commence à se répandre
dans l'allée des stands. Les roues sont changées et les
trains roulants réglés une dernière fois. Au son émis par
le V10, qui ne passe pas inaperçu, les poils se dressent
sur les bras dans le public. Un sentiment se développe,
ou plutôt une prof onde envie à laquelle on ne peut se
soustraire : l'obsession de la vitesse générée par la tension
des pilotes, la montée d'adrénaline et le bruit des
voitures de course.
