Be Informed
Compensation & Benefits
Did you know there is a pension benefit
in addition to the Matched Savings
Plan provided by St. Vincent’s and
Ascension Health? All associates,
whether full time, part time or PRN are
eligible.
If you were hired prior to January 1,
2005, you are in the Ascension Health/
St. Vincent’s Pension Plan. Associates
are vested in this plan after working 5
years and 1000+ hours in each of those
years. You can receive your benefit as
early as age 55 if you are vested and
have terminated your employment from
St. Vincent’s. Want to know the value
of your pension benefit? Ascension
Health has an easy to use website that
allows active associates to
learn about their pension
benefit and see what is
available. That website is
www.financialpathway.org.
If you were hired on or after
January 1, 2005, you are in
the Ascension Health/
St. Vincent’s Employer
Automatic Contribution
(EAC) Plan. This pension
plan provides an annual
contribution based on years of service
and has the same vesting requirements
as the Pension Plan. The annual contribution
is deposited into your account
with Diversified Investment Advisors
(DIA).
For assistance on how to access the
above website, go to the Intranet/Benefits/2011
Plan Information and scroll
down to the box on the bottom left.
There are two fliers. One is for the
Pension Plan and accessing the
Financial Pathways website and
the other is for the new Employer
Automatic Contribution Plan. You
can call our DIA reps, Jill Kelley or
Greg Lewis at 308-7780 for
information on the EAC Plan.
