Physician Specialties
Our physician community is comprised of just about every medical specialty and many sub-specialties. They are joined in their
diligent work by highly trained and committed nurses and allied medical professionals, each with a passion for patient care.

Physician participation, leadership and input at St. Vincent’s are

Staff Executive Committee and our Chief Medical Officer are

Educational Advantages
Residency Programs
Family Practice: St. Vincent’s HealthCare enjoys a
premier Family Residency Program showcasing outstanding
residents and healthcare instructors in the Southeast.
This three year program, developed in 1972, is accredited
by the Family Medicine Residency Review Committee
and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical
Education. The full-time faculty physicians direct their
energy each day towards the development of 30 exceptional
residents in the areas of Family Medicine,
Pediatrics and OB/GYN care. The private practice
physicians are invited to contribute their knowledge to
this educational endeavor as well. This is another
advantage in being a provider “where the experts care.”
Podiatry: This program, established in 1993, trains
physicians in the field of Podiatric Medicine with
Surgery.
Schools of Medical Science
St. Vincent’s continues to make certain that highly
qualified technical staff is available for our community
by providing career education opportunities in the areas
of Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Sonography,
Nuclear Medicine Technology, Medical Technology and
Computed Tomography.

St. Luke’s Hospital
St. Vincent’s Medical Center is a 528-bed prestigious medical
center offering inpatient and outpatient tertiary care services.
Located on the St. Johns River in the lovely Riverside neighborhood
of Jacksonville just minutes from downtown, the
campus includes patient care facilities, pharmacy, conference
areas and on-site parking.
St. Luke’s Hospital will be operated by St. Vincent’s
HealthCare as a 150-bed hospital beginning in 2008.
St. Luke’s is located on the growing Southside of
Jacksonville, just minutes from pristine beaches and elegant
waterfront communities. This general acute care hospital
includes modern patient care facilities, technologically
superior conference areas and on-site parking.
St. Catherine Labouré Manor
St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Center
St. Catherine Labouré Manor provides both short- and longterm
care in a beautiful riverfront facility. The 240-bed
homelike center includes a 60-bed Special Care Unit for
Alzheimer’s and dementia residents, as well as full-scale rehabilitation
services.
St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Center serves over 30,000
patients each year operating as a primary care office and
obstetrical clinic, serving as real-world training for the 30
physicians in the St. Vincent’s Family Practice Residency
Program. Located across the street from the St. Vincent’s
Medical Center campus, FMC staff cares equally for insured
and indigent patients.

Orange Park Health Center
Orange Park Health Center, located south of
Jacksonville in one of the area’s fastest growing
communities, enables St. Vincent’s physicians and
staff to provide a variety of healthcare services along
with education and wellness programs. This gives us
the opportunity to take the same compassion and
quality of care out into the area we serve. Medical

Seton Center for Women & Infants Health is a
nationally recognized program providing education
and resources for new parents and their parents.
Seton Center nurses help parents-to-be with classes
and confidence-building programs. It is not necessary
for the baby to be born at St. Vincent’s for parents
or families to participate in Seton Center programs.
Consolidated Laboratory Services is a comprehensive
laboratory serving physicians and medical
facilities throughout Northeast Florida and
Southeast Georgia. This customer-focused service
provides top quality, responsive services while staying
cost effective. Unlike large national laboratories,
our pathologists are readily available to assist
with questions regarding test results and procedures,
consult on unusual cases or arrange special
studies.
Waycross Cardiology Clinic extends our mission of
care to Southeastern Georgia by providing an outstanding
level of advanced cardiovascular care to
the people of rural Georgia. Physicians at Waycross
offer specialty clinics for patients with pacemakers,
hypertension, CHF and other areas.
First Coast Primary Care, a St. Vincent’s employed
network of physicians, along with other devoted
community private practitioners, work as a team to
provide quality and mission driven healthcare in
Jacksonville. The primary care physician offices are
located throughout a five county area creating better
accessibility for patients. Together these physicians
offer their medical expertise to provide a positive
and satisfying patient experience to all in need.

Physicians practicing at St. Vincent’s have an exceptional

in the system-wide Clinical Excellence Program of Ascension
Health Care. St. Vincent’s collaborates with more than 60
sister health ministries in programs designed to focus on
patient safety and well-being.
The program has set priorities for action with astounding
results. The selected goals for actions are tied directly to
patient safety. St. Vincent’s has documented a dramatic
decline in adverse reactions to prescription medication, a
reduction in mortality for preventable deaths, fewer complications
due to patient falls and the formation of decubitus on
a patient during hospitalization.
