Dr. Katie Yoder is a Jacksonville
native, and Dr. Jenny Nordeen is
a graduate of St. Vincent’s Family
Medicine residency program. Each
physician served as chief resident
during medical training. They share
a special interest in preventative
medicine.
They are pleased to provide medical

adolescents, adults and the elderly.

Having a baby can be one of the greatest
memories in a father’s life. St. Vincent’s
Family Birth Place Nurse Manager Althea
Whitehead, St. Vincent’s nurses, and IT
specialists welcomed the opportunity to make
it possible for one Dad serving 7,000 miles
away in Iraq to be in on his baby’s delivery!
Stephanie Neel’s husband is serving in the
military in Iraq, and had planned to come
back a week before the due date, but his
little bundle of joy decided to come early.
When Neel came to St. Vincent’s, her mother
brought their webcam and laptop and
worked with Mark Foster, a member of our
IT staff, so Dad could see the whole birth
live via webcam from Iraq. Soon after the
delivery, the American Red Cross made
arrangements for Dad to catch a flight
home to be with his wife and new baby.
