• Hardened glass, acid etched on the top, coloured on the bottom side.
Specific gravity: 2.5 kg
• Colour fastness : differences in colour between different table tops
can occur. These are caused by the different production batches in
which they were made. A colour difference of delta E = 2, measured on
the surface of the glass, is acceptable
• Tensile strength: intrinsic tensile strength 10,000 N/mm 2
• Scratch resistance: no value available, but clearly sharp objects may
cause scratches on the surface of the glass
• Thermal conductivity: 0.8 W/mK
SIB
Silestone is a material that consists mainly of quartz and a series of organic components, the composition of
which may vary according to the colour. Polyester resin is used as a binding agent. This results in a product
that is very strong, not very porous and very bacteria resistant.
Silestone is resistant to most household cleaning products and acids.
Manutti uses a UV-resistant silestone specially developed for outdoor use.
trespa ® (hpl)
Trespa is a flat thermo hardening resin-based sheet, homogenously
reinforced with wood-based fibres and manufactured at high pressure and
temperature. (HPL – High Pressure Laminate). The visible side is covered in a
decorative surface using the patented EBC technology.
For this Manutti works with 13 mm thick sheets.
For all colours the border has a black finish.
The ceramic tops Manutti uses for its tables are composed of a mixture of sand, clay and natural stone. These composites are mixed, rinsed and atomised into tiny particles of only a few
microns. A paste is formed which is laid out into a layer of 3mm and pressed together with 180 ton pressure. After this procedure, this paste gets a layer of coulor pigments that mainly
consist of glass particles of a few microns large. Subsequently the paste is baked in a tunnel oven of 30m length at 1100° Celsius. The baked product is cooled down for a few minutes
by cold air turbines. 2 of these finished plates (1000x3000x3mm) are glued together while still being warm with a glass fibre cloth and a special 2 components glue at a pressure of 70
ton. This process results in a light plate of 7mm that is as good as imperishable and which is ideally suited for use as a table top, particularly for outdoor applications.
