Equipment Problems<br />

Reducing <strong>ECG</strong> Data Noise<br />

If the acquired <strong>ECG</strong> data displays unacceptable noise<br />

levels:<br />

n Verify proper electrode placement.<br />

n Verify proper electrode application. Perspiration and<br />

dead skin cells must be removed from the electrode<br />

site.<br />

n Check for defective or date expired electrodes.<br />

n Check for defective, broken, or disconnected leadwires.<br />

n Check the patient’s position. The patient should remain<br />

motionless during the acquisition of a resting <strong>ECG</strong>.<br />

There is No ACI-TIPI Report<br />

n ACI-TIPI is disabled.<br />

u Enable ACI-TIPI.<br />
