The CL300 High Output (HO) surgical headlight system offers best-in-class 

performance and superb comfort for the most demanding lighting requirements. 

Warm color temperatures closely match overhead surgical lighting, 

minimizing eye fatigue and changing tissue appearance.

CL300 SFI Surgical Headlight System 

300-Watt, Single-Fiber Illumination 

For one of the lightest weight high performance systems available, the CL300 SFI 

is second to none. The soft terrycloth headband is extremely comfortable and 

securely holds the SFI headlight. The color temperature of the CL300 closely 

matches overhead surgical lighting for minimal shifts in tissue appearance.

Multifiber Illumination (MFI) Headlight Systems 

A shielded fiber-optic light guide and milled aluminum headlight result in unsurpassed durability. The MFI Headlight System 

greatly reduces the ongoing expense of fiber-optic bundle replacement common to all other traditional headlight systems. 

MFI Xenon Headlight System 

The MFI Xenon 300 takes traditional headlight systems to a whole 

new level of durability. Able to stand up to the most demanding 

environments where “less than cautious” handling is the norm. Busy 

ORs, fast turn-overs, and frequently changing staff members all can 

take a toll on equipment. The MFI Xenon 300 is designed to provide 

years of reliable service in just such an environment.

SFI HEADLIGHT 

• The SFI headlight uses condensing optics to adjust the spot size. As the spot size 

is reduced, condensing optics focus the total available lumens into a smaller spot. 

This results in increased lux levels (lumens/m2) as spot size is decreased 

• When used with the CL100 lightsource, lux ranges from 20,000 (large spot) to 

over 300,000 (small spot) 

• When using with the CL300 lightsource, lux ranges from 40,000 (large spot) to 

over 700,000 (small spot)

glass fibers from crushing and crimping damage

PVC sheath through entire length of fiber 

preventing stress damage at bifurcation 

Single-fiber technology offers several advantages, 

including a lighter weight fiber and 

a more homogenous spot when used in 

headlight applications. There is no packing 

loss as found in traditional fiberoptic 

bundles, therefore more light is captured 

and transmitted to the headlight.

light that rivals lightsources operating at many times its power rating. 

• Efficient Solarc technology provides more lumens

CL SERIES SURGICAL ILLUMINATORS 

Designed to optimally illuminate small diameter glass or plastic fibers 

(1 to 3 mm), the CL100 and CL300 can provide light in ways no 

other lightsource can. The CL Series uses unique proprietary off-axis 

technology to move the arc lamp off the axis of the light path as it 

travels to the face of the fiber.
