System Setup<br />

9.8 Option Code<br />

In this menu you enter the option codes to enable a<br />

number of optional software functions. The respective<br />

option becomes active after you have entered<br />

the code number. The code numbers are listed on the<br />

option code sheet supplied with the different software<br />

options.<br />

• In the setup menu, position the bar cursor on<br />

"Option Code" and confirm the selection with<br />

.<br />

The option code menu appears. There is a choice of<br />

6 options:<br />

MEAS: measurement of the 10-second resting<br />

ECG<br />

DIAG: measurement and interpretation of the 10-<br />

second resting ECG<br />

MEMO: program for storage of up to 40 resting<br />

ECGs<br />

C100: activates the three options MEAS, DIAG,<br />

MEMO for a maximum of 100 ECGs<br />

C500: activates the three options MEAS, DIAG,<br />

MEMO for a maximum of 500 ECGs<br />

EVAL: activates the three options MEAS, DIAG,<br />

MEMO for a maximum of 4 weeks<br />

• Position the bar cursor on the option you wish to<br />

activate.<br />

• Enter the 12-digit code number from the keyboard<br />

and confirm the entry with .<br />

The unit will accept the entered number only if it<br />

corresponds to the unit's serial number. The serial<br />

number is indicated at the top of the menu (Ser.No.<br />

= xxxxxxxxx). This number must be the same as<br />

printed on the nameplate (back of the device).<br />

When you enter the code number for DIAG and<br />

MEMO, the fields for C100, C500 and EVAL will<br />

disappear.<br />

9.9 ECG Transmission via Modem<br />

• Select the 12 Lead Mode and press setup .<br />

• Press to display the setup menu for the 12<br />

Lead Mode.<br />

• Use the cursor keys to position the bar cursor on<br />

"<strong>Manual</strong> copy to HOST" and confirm the selection<br />

with ([HOST]).<br />

• Press<br />

to clear the setup menu.<br />

• Use the cursor keys to position the bar cursor on<br />

"Communication" and confirm the selection with<br />

.<br />

Selecting the Communication Protocol<br />

• Using the cursor keys, position the bar cursor on<br />

"Protocol". Select the protocol CSI to send data<br />

to a MUSE CV Information System, or select A5<br />

if you will send data to CardioSys/CardioSoft.<br />

• Use the cursor keys to position the bar cursor on<br />

"Modem, other" and confirm the selection with<br />

.<br />

• Choose the modem you use from the list and<br />

confirm the selection with .<br />

If your modem is not included in the list, select<br />

"other" and enter the required modem commands<br />

(see also "Modem Setup" in section 5.7).<br />

• When you have selected a standard modem, position<br />

the bar cursor on "Dial mode" and select the<br />

appropriate mode.<br />

• Enter the telephone number of the receiving<br />

modem and the number to access the public telephone<br />

network and terminate the setup with<br />

.<br />

• Exit the menu with .<br />
