course taken for the required prerequisites and Master of<br />
Science in Accounting program requirements.<br />
Each student, as a condition of graduation, must<br />
participate in an exit interview and possess a cumulative<br />
graduate business program GPA of at least 2.75.<br />

The Master of Science in Management of Information<br />
Technologies (M.S.-M.I.T.) degree, the first of its kind<br />
in Michiana, enables graduates to effectively plan and<br />
manage complex information technologies for their<br />
firms and to successfully advance their manufacturing/<br />
service organizations into the twenty-first century.<br />
Given the burgeoning influence of information technology<br />
in almost all organizations, Michiana businesses must<br />
learn to manage information technology to their best<br />
advantage.<br />
The M.S.-M.I.T. degree is one of the best professional<br />
career investments for area managers. This degree<br />
significantly enhances the information technology<br />
management capabilities of our graduates and their<br />
organizations.<br />
To manage information effectively, organizations<br />
need employees proficient in information systems and<br />
management. This program provides expertise in both.<br />
Graduates can assume a variety of responsibilities,<br />
from the development of electronic commerce, to<br />
the management of large-scale business process<br />
reengineering and enterprise resource planning.<br />
Graduates gain proficiency in areas such as: electronic<br />
commerce, managerial decision support systems,<br />
enterprise resource planning, business process<br />
reengineering, database management systems,<br />
telecommunication systems, web design, object oriented<br />
programming, supply chain management, and artificial<br />
intelligence systems. Upon graduation, students receive<br />
a certificate of completion of SAP courses. The M.S.-<br />
M.I.T. Program may be completed in two years full or<br />
part-time, and all courses are offered in the evening.<br />
Program Requirements (37-48 cr.)<br />
(All courses are 3 credit hours, unless otherwise designated.)<br />
Students who received a degree in any subject within the<br />
last five years from an institution accredited by the North<br />
Central Association of Colleges and Schools (or some<br />
equivalent agency) may be exempt from courses in the<br />
mathematics and statistics core, or the basic computing<br />
core, through written examination or evaluation of<br />
transcripts and course materials. A grade of B or higher<br />
must have been earned in any course to be exempt by<br />
evaluation of transcripts and course materials. Students<br />
from nonaccredited programs may not be exempt from<br />
any credit hours in the mathematics and statistics core<br />
nor the basic computing core.<br />
Students who received a degree in business within the<br />
last five years from an AACSB International accredited<br />
institution may also be exempted from courses in the<br />
basic business core through written examination or<br />
evaluation of transcripts and course materials. A grade<br />
of B or higher must have been earned in any course to be<br />
exempt by evaluation of transcripts and course materials.<br />
Students from non-AACSB International programs may<br />
not exempt any credit hours in the basic business core.<br />
A grade of C or higher must be attained in all courses in<br />
the program unless otherwise specified.<br />
