Q. How do I get a permit?
A. Permits can be purchased on-line after 1st September. There will be a link from ITB's
website to Apcoa's Permit Purchase site. Permits will be mailed to the postal address
you include with your on-line payment. You should receive your permit within 5 working days
of payment.
Q. How many permits are being sold and what happens after they run out? Who is
eligible to purchase a permit?
A. There is no limit on how many permits will be sold. There are no restrictions on
eligibility.
Q. I'm back at college on 12th September. Will I need a permit to park?
A. No. Permits come into effect 1st November.
Q. Will we be guaranteed parking if we pay for the year?
A. No. A permit does not guarantee a parking space.
Q. If I have my permit, and show up but there are no “permit” spaces, can I then use a
P&D spot?
A. Yes. Provided you pay the appropriate P&D fee.
Q. If I park on the entry road , grass etc with a valid permit, will I be clamped?
A. Yes. The only parking allowed on Campus is a designated parking space.
Q. If I was clamped mistakenly, while I had a permit displayed, would I still have to pay
the removal fee?
A. You would need to take this up with Apcoa – check the signs for telephone number.
Q. My friend and I carshare and take it in turns to drive to ITB. Can we purchase one
permit and share it?
A. Yes. Permits aren't specific to a vehicle so as long as the vehicle parked at ITB (in a
designated parking space) is displaying a valid permit, that's OK. You'll need to
remember to swap over the permit each time you change vehicles.
Q. Will part time students need a parking permit ?
A. Parking permits are not required after 5.00pm weekdays or on Saturdays. Check
signage for details.
Q. Why is the cost of a permit increasing to €80 in January?
A. The intention has always been that permits will cost €80 to €100. The reduced price
of €50 is being offered initially in order to encourage take up of the permits.

Q. What happens if I lose my permit?
A. Replacement permits can be purchased from Apcoa at €20 each. The original permit
will then be cancelled.
Q. Will motorcycles need to display parking permits?
A. There are no plans for motorcycle permits currently. However, if a motorcycle is occupying a
vehicle parking space, a permit will be required.
Q. Are permits required for disabled spaces?
A. No. Permits are not required for disabled spaces where the vehicle is displaying a
current, valid disabled card.
Q. When I purchased my permit I understood that I'd be guaranteed a parking space. I've now
discovered I won't be guaranteed a spot. Can I get a refund?
A. A permit does not guarantee a parking space. You may get a refund by contacting
sales@apcoa.ie. There may be a handling charge. Note that without a permit you will not be
able to park at ITB after 1st November.
