Are you recycling
all you can?
Latest figures show that in Islington only
10% of all food waste is currently being
recycled. More residents are recycling
their food waste than ever before
but we need to do more!
How can you help?
It is easy. You can compost at home
or the council provides a food waste
recycling service to most houses and
many flats in Islington.
All raw or cooked food is accepted,
apart from large bones, so make sure you
recycle all you can.
Three reasons why you should
recycle more:
It is cheaper to dispose of, meaning
there is more to spend on
important council services
It is compulsory in Islington,
so helps you to avoid a fine
It is better for the environment.
You can pick up free compostable bags
from your local library.
