CAUTION<br />

Pinch point. Your fingers or hands can be seriously<br />

injured if you place them between the moving parts of<br />

the Solid Load Cartridge Cap Mount or the Upper<br />

Column Mount. Use care when installing solid load<br />

cartridges or columns.<br />

3. Ensure the Torrent automatically loads a default method<br />

for the column. If not, use the touch screen to manually<br />

select the RediSep column media and size.<br />

4. Touch the METHOD EDITOR menu option to open the<br />

Method Editor window.<br />

5. Touch the TIME TO CV (Column Volume) button to display<br />

the run time in column volumes.<br />

6. In the Peak Collection section of the display, select the<br />

PEAKS option.<br />

7. Touch the EXIT button and select the YES option to save the<br />

changes.<br />

8. Touch the PLAY button. This opens the Run Requirements<br />

window.<br />

a. Select LIQUID for the Sample Loading Technique.<br />

b. Select the Start Rack and Start Tube number for the<br />

fraction collector. If using the Fractionation Valve, the<br />

set of containers is considered a rack. The Start Tube<br />

number identifies which of the six valve positions to<br />

start from.<br />

c. Review the Solvent Requirements and add solvent if<br />

necessary.<br />

d. Touch the OK button to begin column equilibration.<br />

9. Prepare the Test Mix B vial (60-5244-109) by completely<br />

dissolving the dry sample in 2 mL of ethyl acetate.<br />

Note<br />

The solution should be used within 24 hours or discarded.<br />
