CAUTION
Pinch point. Your fingers or hands can be seriously
injured if you place them between the moving parts of
the Solid Load Cartridge Cap Mount or the Upper
Column Mount. Use care when installing solid load
cartridges or columns.
3. Ensure the Torrent automatically loads a default method
for the column. If not, use the touch screen to manually
select the RediSep column media and size.
4. Touch the METHOD EDITOR menu option to open the
Method Editor window.
5. Touch the TIME TO CV (Column Volume) button to display
the run time in column volumes.
6. In the Peak Collection section of the display, select the
PEAKS option.
7. Touch the EXIT button and select the YES option to save the
changes.
8. Touch the PLAY button. This opens the Run Requirements
window.
a. Select LIQUID for the Sample Loading Technique.
b. Select the Start Rack and Start Tube number for the
fraction collector. If using the Fractionation Valve, the
set of containers is considered a rack. The Start Tube
number identifies which of the six valve positions to
start from.
c. Review the Solvent Requirements and add solvent if
necessary.
d. Touch the OK button to begin column equilibration.
9. Prepare the Test Mix B vial (60-5244-109) by completely
dissolving the dry sample in 2 mL of ethyl acetate.
Note
The solution should be used within 24 hours or discarded.
