5.2.5 Completing the Direct Connection<br />
1. Connect the PC to the Torrent using the cross-over cable.<br />
2. Start Internet Explorer and type the factory default<br />
address “http://192.168.1.51”. The browser will display the<br />
PeakTrak screen.<br />
Note<br />
The PeakTrak screen indicates that the direct connection is<br />
working.<br />
The Torrent and the PC are now configured for communication<br />
through a direct connection. Refer to PeakTrak’s on-line help<br />
for operating instructions. Abbreviated instructions can be<br />
found in Section 3 of this guide.<br />
5.3 Direct Printing<br />
The Torrent supports direct printing to a USB printer. The<br />
printer must support postscript. To set up the printer:<br />
1. Connect the printer with the USB cable to the USB port on<br />
the back panel of the system.<br />
2. Select the Tools>Configuration menu command.<br />
3. Select the Network Configuration tab.<br />
4. Select the Postscript option for the Printer Type.<br />
5. For the Connection URL, enter “usb:/dev/usb/lp0”.<br />
6. Click OK to save the settings. The Torrent will send a test<br />
page to the printer.<br />
After successfully printing a test page, the local printer will be<br />
available for printing using the File>Print menu command or<br />
through the Automatically Print Report at End of Run option<br />
on the Tools>Configuration <strong>User</strong> Preferences tab.<br />
