<strong>CombiFlash</strong> Torrent® <strong>User</strong> <strong>Manual</strong><br />

• Enable solvent B priming pump — The <strong>CombiFlash</strong><br />

Torrent module is equipped with a priming pump for the<br />

B solvent to ensure that the system forms repeatable<br />

gradients. This pump can be enabled or disabled.<br />

<strong>CombiFlash</strong> Torrent Name Enter a name for the module. This<br />

name will appear in the title bar of the Main window. The<br />

name will also appear in run summaries. Unique names are<br />

helpful when operating more than one <strong>CombiFlash</strong> Torrent<br />

module in your lab.<br />

Time Zone Select your local time zone.<br />

Set Date/Time Click this button to set the date and time. From<br />

the touch screen, this command opens a window that allows<br />

you to set the instrument date and time. If you select this<br />

command from a remotely connected computer, this menu<br />

command automatically sets the module time to match the<br />

computer’s.<br />

Note: The module will restart after you set the time.<br />

To prevent unauthorized time changes, this feature is<br />

password protected. See also: SET PASSWORD [4.3.11].<br />

Vapor Limit Type or select the vapor limit setting. The<br />

<strong>CombiFlash</strong> Torrent module’s internal vapor sensor detects<br />

vapors present in the module. When this value is exceeded,<br />

the module will shut down to avoid a hazardous condition. For<br />

more information, refer to SETTING THE VAPOR LIMIT [4.4.11].<br />

Set Default Tube Volume Click this button to open a window<br />

from which you can set the default volume of the collection<br />

tubes. You can increase or decrease these values to set the<br />

desired default volume collected in each container. Ensure<br />

that you do not enter a value that exceeds the container’s<br />

capacity. This will overfill the container.<br />

The Foxy fraction collector will automatically advance to the<br />

next tube when this default volume is met in each tube. Keep<br />

in mind that the PEAK COLLECTION [4.3.2.5] settings on the<br />

METHOD EDITOR [4.3.2] window may override this default<br />
