Section 1 Introduction<br />

1.5 Preliminary Checkout After the electrical connections have been completed, follow this<br />

brief test of the pump’s operation:<br />

Preliminary checkout of the pump is performed without fluid in<br />

the pump.<br />

If adding a new pump to the controller, a hard and soft reset<br />

need to be completed.<br />

1. Before connecting the line cord, make sure the voltage rating<br />

on the serial tag matches your outlet’s voltage. Plug in<br />

the line cord. Set the pump mains power switch to ON. Set<br />

the controller ON/STANDBY switch to ON.<br />

2. The display will briefly show the software revision on the<br />

first line; and the pump model(s) connected to the controller<br />

on the following lines, Figure 1-9.<br />

3. Check the upper left corner of the controller screen. The<br />

current pump mode will be presented in a two-letter abbreviation,<br />

e.g. CF for constant flow. This will be followed by a<br />

lowercase letter indicating the current pump, e.g. lowercase<br />

“a” indicates that pump A is the current pump. The<br />

current pump is the one for which parameters are being<br />

set.<br />

a. If a pump other than pump A is currently selected:<br />

On the lower right corner of the screen, directly over<br />

softkey D, are the words “SELECT PUMP.”<br />

Press softkey D and then softkey A to select pump A.<br />

The display will automatically switch to the run screen,<br />

and “a” will be displayed in the upper left corner.<br />

4. Press the orange MENU key on the controller front panel.<br />

5. Press number 6 to set the display contrast. Use softkeys B<br />

and C to set the optimum contrast for your viewing conditions.<br />

Press softkey D, PREVIOUS, to return to the menu<br />

screen.<br />

6. Press number 1 to select UNITS.<br />

7. Press number 3 to select PSI for the pressure units.<br />

8. Press number 5 to select ML/MIN for the flow units. The<br />

first line of the display will show the selected units.<br />
