To delete a flow<br />

1. Highlight the flow conversion to delete. You may not<br />

delete a flow conversion used by an existing instrument.<br />

2. Press the Delete button. The flow conversion is then<br />

removed from the flow conversion list.<br />

This window adds or modifies a flow conversion that appears in<br />

the Flow Conversion List.<br />

To edit or create a new flow conversion:<br />

1. Select a flow conversion type and define its attributes.<br />

• Weir - Select the Type and Size or Crest length from<br />

the pull-down lists.<br />

• Flume - Select the Type and Size from the pull-down<br />

lists.<br />

• Flow Metering Insert - Select the type and size of<br />

flow insert from the pull-down lists.<br />

• Manning Formula - Select the Channel type from<br />

the pull-down list. Then enter the Slope, Roughness,<br />

and channel dimensions.<br />

• Area Velocity - Select a channel type from the pulldown<br />

list, enter the channel dimensions, and enter<br />

the silt level.<br />

• Equation - Enter the flow equation coefficients and<br />

the units.<br />

• Data points - The set is listed in the data point set<br />

box. If the selected set is unused, or if you wish to<br />

view/change the set, press the Edit… button.<br />

2. If you wish to create a new flow conversion in the list,<br />

type a name in the Flow Conversion Name box. <strong>Flowlink</strong><br />

will not accept invalid characters, which are \ / : * & ? " <<br />

> ¦.<br />

3. Click OK to accept the changes.<br />

Note: Although you can open an “existing instrument” flow<br />

conversion, you cannot modify it. Any changes made to the flow<br />

conversion must be saved under a different name.<br />

The Utilities>Merge Sites menu command opens the Merge Sites<br />

window, a utility that can merge the data from two sites into a<br />

single site.<br />

This utility merges data sets from two sites. Merging the data<br />

sets will copy the information from the source site to the<br />

destination site.<br />

This can be accomplished either by holding down the Shift key<br />

and dragging one site on top of the other, or by opening the<br />

Merge Site Data window by selecting Utilities>Merge Sites…<br />

from the <strong>Flowlink</strong> menu.<br />

To use the Merge Site Data Window:<br />
