Getting Started<br />
To get started quickly, it is important to be familiar with<br />
<strong>Flowlink</strong>’s main window. Items you will regularly use are the<br />
menu, toolbar, desktop, and most notably, the workspace.<br />
Please take a moment to locate these items below.<br />
Getting Started - The<br />
Database<br />
The powerful database gives <strong>Flowlink</strong> the strength and<br />
flexibility needed to manage your flow monitoring program. The<br />
<strong>Flowlink</strong> database is graphically depicted in the workspace.<br />
The <strong>Flowlink</strong> workspace contains:<br />
• Sites - instrument settings and retrieved data, and<br />
imported data<br />
• Graphs and Tables - built from the readings held in the<br />
site records<br />
• Schedules - Automated operations and the times they<br />
are to be performed<br />
• Log - a record of scheduled activity.<br />
At least one database must be created in order for the folders to<br />
appear in the workspace. Any number of databases may be<br />
located within the same directory.<br />
