Responsibilities include:<br />

• Managing the signals design team in the provision of engineering<br />

innovation, planning, advice and design<br />

• Develop, write and review Signalling Engineering Standards<br />

• Administer and ensure compliance with standards and procedures<br />

• Oversee the preparation and evaluation of technical feasibility<br />

studies<br />

• Oversee signalling network performance, analyse designed<br />

performance and make recommendations<br />

Knowledge/Experience required:<br />

• 10-15 years experience in an equivalent position with proven ability<br />

to manage a team<br />

• A tertiary qualification in Signals Engineering or a relevant discipline<br />

• Extensive experience in the design, construction and maintenance of<br />

relevant signals infrastructure and related assets<br />

• Demonstrated understanding and application of: risk assessment,<br />

design principles for hazard controls and changes that affect safety<br />

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical feasibility studies, including<br />

costing, risk analysis, design analysis and cost to benefit analysis<br />

• High level conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem<br />

solving skills<br />
