MHA was started with private monies by Mr. Willard L. Groene. He moved the Mummy Mountain Observatory in 1973 because of<br />

noise problems He established. the Tonto Hills Obser'story pith the equipment from his origiRal site upon his death in 1914 J<br />

his equipment and records were donated to Arizona State University.<br />
