SHORT HISTORY<br />

The purpose of the network i, twofold: first, to prOvide , continuous monitor of the seismic activity on ,nd near the<br />

plant site and thus determine location and magnitude of local earthquakes; second, to determine whether there i, , significant<br />

difference in the ground motion of the two geologically different materials that occur at the surface of th, plant ,nd whether<br />

the response varies over different thicknesses of coastal-plain sediments.<br />
