SHORT HISTORY<br />

SCP operated from 1935 to 1945 using horizontal Bosch-Omori instruments (T = 6 sec). From ]945 to 1951 the station employed<br />

horizontal Galitzin-type instruments with a period of 10 sec. A shorterOperiod vertical instrument began operating in<br />

1948. In 1952 the station had three components operating fairly consistently; the horizontal instruments had periods of about<br />

17 Sec and a vertical instrument Ald 8 perisll sf allsHt ] sec. Ia hauaEY 1962 Hie 'JVSSN eqnipmeat Has installed The recorlls<br />

before the WWSSN installation were on photo paper and are archived at the University.<br />

(ABG) , (BVR), and (ERP) are located on the outlying campuses of the University. They will eventually be telemetered to<br />

SCP and recorded on Develocorder film.<br />
