SHORT HISTORY
NRL was owned and operated by the U.S. Bureau of Standards. In 1967, NEIC began telcmeteling this slation and recorded
it 011 Uelicorder. The tl.3. Bureau of 3tandards recorded their statiolls on Beuelocordci film, hut this set of IeeoIas as sue
sequently discarded.
WAS was located in the Commerce Building, 14th and Constitution, and was on display in the lobby. It closed when the
USC&GS moved its headquarters to the Washington Science Center. (See WSC).
