Good Practices and InnovATIONS in Public Governance
wrote the case studies on Italy’s Mobile Counter for Disabled and Elderly People and
Italy’s Youth in the Law Hall; Nigera Reaves wrote the case study on Korea’s Women-Friendly
City Project; and Patricia Whelan wrote the one on Waterfuture in Australia.
Monica Chavez, graduate student at Columbia University, and Lois Redman-
Warner provided support in the finalization of the 2010 section of this publication by
checking facts and figures, contributing to the editorial work and lay-out.
With respect to the years 2003-2011, a number of authors contributed to the elaboration
of the case studies. Adriana Alberti prepared the case studies for the years 2006
to 2008. Valuable contributions were provided by Olivier Munyaneza, UNPSA Administrator
until 2009, Ariane De Lipkowski a former Associate Expert in Governance,
and Sarah Sher who also prepared case studies for this publication. Peggy
Brice Bayetassa, United Nations intern at DPADM/DESA provided support in proofreading.
Administrative support was provided by Mary-Elizabeth Danseco.
In finalizing the case studies, the DPADM team relied on information submitted by
the 2003-2011 UNPSA winners as part of their evaluation, along with information
from official websites and UNDESA reports of technical meetings on innovations.
