Article IV. Clergy<br />
5. Other Provisions<br />
a. Licensed Ministers are required to maintain their<br />
nominal membership in an International Pentecostal<br />
Holiness <strong>Church</strong> Member <strong>Church</strong>. If a Licensed<br />
Minister ceases to be a credentialed minister of the<br />
International Pentecostal Holiness <strong>Church</strong>, he shall<br />
become a regular member of the local church in which<br />
he holds nominal membership.<br />
b. Licensed Ministers pursuing pastoral/evangelistic<br />
ministry are encouraged to seek ordination. Other<br />
Licensed Ministers (Ministers of Discipleship Ministries<br />
and Ministers of Music) may or may not choose to be<br />
ordained.<br />
c. Licensed Ministers shall be eligible to participate in all<br />
Conference benefits in the Conference in which they<br />
have been issued a Minister’s License.<br />
d. Conferences may be allowed to charge an application<br />
fee for credentials and a card to be issued.<br />
e. A Conference may rebate to local churches a part of<br />
the tithe paid by full-time Licensed Ministers serving<br />
them as Associate Pastors.<br />
D. Certificate of Ordination<br />
1. Overview<br />
a. The Certificate of Ordination is the highest clergy<br />
credential issued by the International Pentecostal<br />
Holiness <strong>Church</strong>.<br />
b. The Conference in Conference session shall have the<br />
authority to grant the Certificate of Ordination. The<br />
Conference Executive Council may grant a Certificate<br />
of Ordination under special circumstances.<br />
2. In order to be eligible for a Certificate of Ordination, a<br />
