Clergy<br />
A. The International Pentecostal Holiness <strong>Church</strong>, through<br />
Conferences, issues the following clergy credentials:<br />
1. Local <strong>Church</strong> Minister’s Certificate<br />
2. Minister’s License, Minister of Discipleship Ministries<br />
License, Minister of Music License<br />
3. Certificate of Ordination<br />
B. Local <strong>Church</strong> Minister’s Certificate<br />
1. Overview<br />
The Conference Executive Council shall have the authority<br />
to grant or revoke Local <strong>Church</strong> Minister’s Certificate.<br />
The presentation of the Local <strong>Church</strong> Minister’s Certificate<br />
may be delegated to the local church.<br />
2. In order to be eligible for Local <strong>Church</strong>’s Minister’s<br />
Certificate, a candidate must:<br />
a. Subscribe to and demonstrate character consistent<br />
with the International Pentecostal Holiness <strong>Church</strong><br />
Articles of Faith and Covenant of Commitment.<br />
b. Be a member of a local church and be recommended<br />
by that local church. This recommendation must be in<br />
writing and signed by the Senior Pastor and church<br />
secretary.<br />
c. Be certain of a definite call to Christian work.<br />
d. Complete the prescribed study program.<br />
e. Be approved by a Conference-approved<br />
screening/interview committee after the committee has<br />
conducted a credit check and a criminal background<br />
check.<br />
