Article II. Organizational Structure – Conferences<br />
8. When, as a result of personal conviction and analysis, a<br />
Senior Pastor feels his work is completed at a church, he<br />
shall consult with his Conference Superintendent. The<br />
Superintendent and the Conference Executive Council<br />
shall work toward securing another assignment for the<br />
Senior Pastor.<br />
9. In cases of unresolved conflict involving a Senior Pastor, a<br />
Local <strong>Church</strong> Administrative Council, and/or a<br />
congregation, the following shall apply:<br />
a. The Conference Superintendent shall counsel with the<br />
Senior Pastor and Local <strong>Church</strong> Administrative Council<br />
and seek to resolve the conflict.<br />
b. If the situation cannot be resolved:<br />
1) The Conference Executive Council has the right to<br />
call a church election.<br />
2) When two thirds of the Local <strong>Church</strong> Administrative<br />
Council members feel an expression should be<br />
made from the local church relative to the Senior<br />
Pastor’s continuation, they shall, in a meeting of the<br />
Local <strong>Church</strong> Administrative Council chaired by the<br />
Senior Pastor, call for a meeting with the<br />
Conference Superintendent, who will determine if<br />
an expression is needed.<br />
c. If the Senior Pastor receives a two-thirds vote, he may<br />
remain at his own discretion. If he receives less than<br />
two thirds, but a majority, the decision to remain shall<br />
be made by the Conference Executive Council. If he<br />
receives less than a majority, the Conference<br />
Superintendent shall lead the Local <strong>Church</strong><br />
Administrative Council in one of the three pastoral<br />
selection tracks.<br />
d. If the Senior Pastor remains after a vote of confidence,<br />
the offices of the Local <strong>Church</strong> Administrative Council<br />
shall be filled by a new election through the regular<br />
voting process of the local church within sixty (60)<br />
days. All members in good standing shall be eligible for<br />
