I have inserted the following interesting praise report from Danny Nelson about the growing
North Carolina IPHC Hispanic community and their participation in Global Evangelism. I
hope this emphasis and focus on fulfilling God’s mandate spreads across our Hispanic
churches.
Hispanic Mission’s Services – NC Conference
On Tuesday, April 16 th we sponsored the first of four Hispanic Mission’s Services (GCM’s)
in the NC Conference. The event was launched to kickoff Global Outreach among
our Hispanic services. There were a total of 432 present with 22 churches and 21
pastors represented. The messages by Rev. Luis Avila and Rev. Fernando were
powerful and pointed, challenging the group to involve our children in the work of the
Lord and to instruct and challenge our children.
A specific question was asked in three of the four services by the speakers: how many
of the congregations have been converted since being in the U.S.? Over 50% of the
congregations responded, yes! What an exciting moment as we saw the hands raised.
This affirms to me that we are indeed reaping a harvest and in many cases Hispanics
are returning to Latin America to plant churches: expanding the Kingdom.
The goal for our Hispanic churches for 2013 is $20,000 for Global Outreach. Pastor
Fernando Angulo is the Hispanic Mission’s Coordinator for the Conference and is
doing a fantastic job with the churches in promoting missions as well as pastoring a
strong church himself. We had a specific project for the services; to raise funds to
complete a church building in Mexico. We were able to raise more than $2800. To
God be the glory.
