Results demonstrated that Pb and Cd concentration in Kola soil solutions were<br />

predicted with accuracy within one order of magnitude; however observed trends<br />

within horizons could be different form those predicted with TF. Concentration of<br />

Pb in BSE in O horizon was nearly constant for different levels of contamination<br />

perhaps because of strong buffering effect of soil organic layer.<br />
