Game Carcass Disposal
Iowa law allows cleaned game carcasses and waste from home meat processing to be disposed of alongside other
household garbage.
Carcasses must have the recoverable meat and entrails removed, but the carcass can include bones and meat
scraps. Simply place the remains in a garbage bag and put it in the garbage can.
Dumping a carcass in a road ditch or public parking lot is considered littering and subject to enforcement. Questions?
