The Sundial Group story began in 1964, when Michael and Diana Chudley awards & accolades bought seventeenth century Highgate House as a home for their large family and subsequently opened the doors of the family home for afternoon tea and bed and breakfast guests. In the early 1990s Diana Chudley handed ownership and control of Highgate House to her children, eight brothers and sisters who had grown with the business. Tim, Jo and Lucy are the family members responsible for the day-to-day operation of the company and its continuing success. It is their commitment and passion that is the driving force behind the expansion and development of the business, which is proud to be recognised as one of the most innovative and forward-looking organisations in the hospitality industry. Today Sundial Group, and everything the company does, is governed by a set of core values.
